For this journal I decided to do something different.  First I used two strands of thin blue gray cord to bind the book, and one strand of the same cord to stitch the book.  By using cord for stitching instead of thread,  it created space between the pages for adding photos or clippings like in a scrapbook.  In addition to this, I used two strands of the same cord and wove them in and out along the spine cords as shown in a few of the photos Which created three  woven bands along the spine. Next I added three strands of cord to either side of the woven bands to finish them off.
The main colors are maroon and blue gray with touches of off-white, blue and pale apple green.
